2027 SS BRADY BRADFORD (ARMY COMMIT)

Brady Bradford SS / 2B / Fossil Ridge, CO / 2027

Bradford made a strong impression at this year’s Future Games by consistently putting together quality at-bats and showing advanced offensive instincts. Coming off a standout spring where he hit .393 with 16 extra-base hits and 10 stolen bases at the 5A level, Bradford carried that momentum into the event, displaying quick hands, a composed approach in the box, and reliable bat-to-ball skills that gave him a “hitterish” look throughout the week. His ability to slow the game down and compete each at-bat stood out against high-level arms, while his 6.8 speed adds another layer of athleticism that plays both on the bases and defensively. Bradford’s performance highlighted a well-rounded profile with the makings of a steady, top-of-the-order LHH infielder who can impact the game with both consistency at the plate and athletic actions in the field. Bradford is now committed to Army to continue his baseball career and serve in the United States military.

OUR Q&A:

Prep Baseball: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? What were you looking for out of a college program to continue your baseball career at?

Brady: I thought the recruiting process would be a very long process. However, luckily with Army, they were able to see me early and watch me throughout the end of the summer and fall. When I began the recruiting process I was looking for a school that I saw myself developing at and getting a chance to compete for a spot. Most importantly, coaches who believed in me.

Prep Baseball: What do you like most about the program you chose, and what were the key factors in making your decision?

Brady: It really came down to the coaches believing in me and showing their full interest. I was looking for high academics and West Point really has it all. For me, the honor of serving my country as well as getting to play the sport I love was something I couldn’t pass up.

Prep Baseball: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?

Brady: I would say the most important thing would be to keep moving forward. Baseball is such a hard mental sport and everyone has ups and downs. The most important part is how you react and get better.

Prep Baseball: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?

Brady: No, I knew going into the process I was looking for a school that was a good fit for me. Rather than a place close to home.

Prep Baseball: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Where did the school you committed to first see you play?

Brady: The recruiting process for me really started up at the Prep Baseball Future Games at the end of summer. This event was the first chance Army West Point got to watch me play.

Prep Baseball: Was there a particular Prep Baseball tournament or showcase that helped accelerate your recruiting process? If yes, how so?

Brady: The Future Games put me in front of hundreds of the best schools in the country. It gave me the opportunity to showcase my skills and fortunately many schools were able to watch me play.

Prep Baseball: What other schools were on your short list before you made your final decision?

Brady: Towards the end of the recruitment process some schools I had on my list were Northwestern, Davidson, and UMass.

Prep Baseball: Who is the best player you have faced in your state? What about them makes for a tough opponent?

Brady: I’d say the toughest pitcher in my class I’ve faced in the state was Mikey Kroll. He has a great pitch mix and the ability to hit spots while still having plenty of velocity on his fastball.

Prep Baseball: If you could steal any tool or quality from another player in the state, what would it be and who would it be from?

Brady: Playing at Fossil Ridge I was able to see plenty of talented players. For me I always looked up to Owen Morgan. He did such a good job of driving pitches to all fields, and that’s something I’ve been striving to achieve.

Prep Baseball: Who is the next talented young player to keep an eye on out of your high school or travel program?

Brady: At Fossil Ridge we have a very bright future. Mason Clark is definitely someone to keep an eye on, as well as freshman Bennett Thompson.

Prep Baseball: At what point in your career did you realize you were a college-caliber player and became serious about taking your game to the next level?

Brady: I’ve always thought of myself as a solid baseball player. I’d say my freshman year of high school I really thought I could play in college. I became very serious about chasing my dream, working every day, and watching older players to see how I could better myself.

Prep Baseball: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Brady: I think the most memorable moment in my baseball career was Fossil walking off Ralston Valley in our regional last year. Also getting to play in a varsity game with my older brother as a freshman was very memorable.

Prep Baseball: Preview your high school team's season for us. How do you feel your team will be?

Brady: I think Fossil Ridge has a chance to be a very good team again this year. We lost a lot of great players but I believe what we have is special. We have a chance to make a run and surprise a lot of people.
