The #22 Jupiter Warriors (Class 7A, Region 3) enter the Preseason Power 25 with high expectations after a thrilling 2025 run to the FHSAA Class 7A state championship game, where they fell 3-2 to nationally top-ranked Stoneman Douglas in a heartbreaker. Despite graduating 16 seniors—including 7 starters—and leaving 13 runners on base in the final, the Warriors return talent like state-record setter Griffin Miller and top arm Ethan Trivison, setting up a reload year with massive upside.
Head Coach: Joe Giummule

2025 Recap: Finished 25-10 overall, capturing Regional Champs and advancing to the state final (a 3-2 loss to #1 nationally Stoneman Douglas). Highlights included Griffin Miller breaking the single-season home run record with 11 (despite missing 8 games due to a concussion), a powerful offense, and a deep playoff push with wins over strong foes.
Key Departures: Brady Blanks (Barry), Colton Schwarz (UF), Gabe Graulau (USF), Jack Wahl-Cox (Marist), Jake Finnegan (UPENN), Ryan Senecal (Miami Dade), Andrew Abad (Dominican), Edie Ottero (John Mlevin).
Top Returners and Newcomers:
Led by four D1 commits
- Top Returning Players and Impact Transfers:
- (2026) Ethan Trivison - LHP (Clemson commit)
- (2026) Griffin Miller - CF (Wake Forest commit)
- (2026) Colby Smith - INF (South Alabama commit)
- (2026) Brandon Hopkins - RHP (closer, uncommitted)
- (2026) Dom DeMarzo - C (transfer from Cardinal Newman, UNF commit)
Projected Starting Pitchers: Ethan Trivison (ace with 2.42 ERA, 63.2 IP, 74 K in 2025), Brett Hobbs (strong two-way option). Depth includes 10 arms competing for innings, plus Hopkins as closer.
Projected Starting Lineup: 1. Griffin Miller (CF), 2. Colby Smith (INF), 3. Dom Demarzo (C), 4. Brett Hobbs (OF), 5. Gaston Garcia (1B/DH), 6. Casey Crews (DH/1B), 7. Brandon Alverez (INF), 8. Cullen Smith (OF), 9. Mason Ryder (C/3B) — positions are competitive with many up for grabs.
Impact Underclassmen: Cal Schneider (2028, OF/P), Mason Ryder (2028, C/3B)—young talents with potential early contributions.
Team Outlook:
Strengths: Elite talent (4 D1 commits, top hitter in Miller at .349/.791 SLG with 11 HR record, top arm in Trivison, best catcher in Demarzo), versatile ways to win (offense, pitching depth, defense), and improved chemistry in Year 2 under Coach Giummule.
Coach's Quote: "This year's Warrior lineup will look much different than last year's State Championship game lineup. After graduating 16 seniors and 7 starters from last year's team, the Warriors still loaded up their schedule with 3 State Champions and 16 Regional appearance teams on their schedule. They will be battle-tested early and often as they open up their season against Key West and also head to Fort Myers for Spring Break. One thing is for sure, the Warriors will have a target on their back, and Coach Giummule wouldn't want it any other way in year 2."
Standout Players:
- Top Seniors (2026): Griffin Miller (OF, Wake Forest), Ethan Trivison (LHP, Clemson), Colby Smith (INF, South Alabama), Dom Demarzo (C, UNF), Brandon Hopkins (RHP, uncommitted), Brett Hobbs (OF/RHP, uncommitted), Casey Crews (1B/DH, Freed-Hardeman), Gaston Garcia (1B/DH, uncommitted), Cullen Smith (OF, uncommitted).
- Top Juniors/Underclassmen: Brandon Alverez (INF), Owen Gonnello (LHP).
Key Games to Watch: Loaded with elite matchups: Key West Pre-Season (Feb 6-7), @ St. Thomas (Feb 13), vs. Spruce Creek (Feb 28, home), Spring Break trip to Fort Myers (March 19-21: vs. Neumann, Gulf Coast, Palmetto Ridge), vs. The First Academy (March 28, home). Full schedule on MaxPreps.
At #22 in the Preseason Power 25, the Warriors are reloading with star power, a punishing schedule, and revenge motivation from that 3-2 title-game loss—look for Jupiter to be a force in Class 7A once the new lineup clicks.
