Week Eight of College Crosscheck was another well-spent weekend in the SEC. I traveled to Knoxville where No. 6 Tennessee hosted No. 12 Florida. The Vols are a scrappy club with plenty of talent. They also grind in the batter’s box and strut with confidence on the mound, while the Gators are loaded with tools, especially power arms and power bats. In the end it was the gritty Big Orange who emerged as victors, as they won the series 2-of-3 and moved into a tie with Vanderbilt at 9-3, atop the SEC East.
