Draft League Spotlight: Jacob Teter

David Seifert
Director of College Scouting

Player: Jacob Teter
Position: 1B/OF
School: Florida Southern

At 6-foot-6, 230 pounds Teter is an excellent target at first base and an imposing presence from the left side of the batter's box. He shows an average arm and the potential to be a plus defender at the pro level. Offensively, there is some length to his pull-centric swing, but he uses his hips well and limits the swing/miss (13.3%, 24 in 180 plate appearances in the 2019 Cape Cod League). Teter has received many accolades during his tenure at Florida Southern, including SSC Freshman of the Year and boasts a career slash of .333/.427/.542 with 26 HR and 124 RBI in 129 games for the Mocs.
