Tampa, FL - Opening week for the Florida High School baseball season kicked off with a big pitching matchup between Gaither HS and Plant HS. 2021 USF commit Austin Grause got the start for Gaither. An athletic 6-foot-2, 190 pound right-hander with a quick arm. He sat 89-92 with his fastball up to 2300 rpms. He mixed in a wipeout slider that helped rack up 8 strikeouts. Grause would throw a complete game going all 7 innings allowing 2 runs, 1 earned on 5 hits.
