In a rematch of their district championship, and two teams who have consistently been in this year’s Power25, West Orange took on Lake Brantley in the regional semifinal. West Orange  sent 2017 RHP Cole Beavin, and East Carolina recruit, who despite a struggle with the umpires early on his set-up on the mound, was unfazed and controlled the game for six innings. Beavin allowed one run on five hits while striking out 10, working with an 86-89 mph fastball that he used to attack the bottom of  zone and both sides of the plate.
