The 2025 high school baseball season has officially kicked off, bringing with it a wave of standout performances across the state. Each week, coaches will nominate exceptional athletes for Pitcher and Hitter of the Week, from which we’ll select the top four candidates in each category for a public vote via a Twitter (X) poll. Fans will have the power to crown the weekly winners, while those nominees who don’t make the final cut will still receive recognition in our Weekly Top Performers article, published every Wednesday. 

Pitcher of the Week: Week 5

Jace Riggan SS / RHP / North Florida Christian, FL / 2027 Sophomore right-handed pitcher Jace Riggan dominated on the mound, throwing five innings of one-hit ball without surrendering a run or issuing a walk, and racking up an impressive 13 strikeouts. Week 5 Stats: 5 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 13 K

Hitter of the Week: Week 5

Eddie Marshall C / 3B / Cardinal Gibbons, FL / 2025 Marshall, a senior catcher, and Samford commit, had an outstanding week at the plate, going 6-for-9 with five RBIs and showcasing his power by blasting three home runs, a double, and a triple, while crossing the plate five times. Week 5 Stats: 6-9, 5 RBI, 3 HR, 1 2B, 1 3B, 5 R
