March 4th kicked off first Rising Stars event of the year. The Rising Stars event is a great time for prospects to learn the showcase process, and get a baseline for the years to come. Some of the top players in the 2027 and 2028 class were in attendance. This event included nearly 60 kids from the 2 classes combined. Prospects participated in a pro-style workout that included the 60 yard dash, batting practice, in and out, and pitcher bullpens.

Today, we will begin the event analysis with a look at the traditional statistics collected at a showcase: 60 yard time, fastball velocity, exit velocity, arm strength, and pop times. In the coming days, we will take a deeper dive into the, TrackMan data, along with a Quick Hits story containing our staffs initial thoughts from the event.
