FLOWERY BRANCH, GA - The Preseason All-State Underclass Showcase travels to IVSA where this invite-only event that features the top prospects from the 2028 and 2029 grad classes. Every year, the Preseason All-State Showcase highlights the "Who’s Who" of the Georgia baseball landscape. This event is limited and exclusive to the top prospects in Georgia and serves as a springboard as you enter the high school season. Throughout the week we will be pumping out the content from this event. Today, we present the stat leaderboards with the help from our tech partners from this event. More articles and content wil be on the way to break down the entirety of the data collected.

Preseason All-State Underclass Quick Hits- Outfielders 

Chance Thomas, OF, 2028, Hapeville
The athleticism for Thomas was clear to see from the jump. Stands a lean, broad-chested 6-foot-0, 165-pounds with present loud tools and projection. Ran a 3.72 30-YD to kick off the day backed by an explosive first step at 1.61-10 YD. At the plate, the RHH stays balanced through impact and creates excellent length through the zone with present bat speed and barrel feel alike. Produced a Max EV of 94.3 and a Max Distance of 351ft. while working up the middle-of-the-field in a strong round of BP. Posted an 89 MPH OF Velo as well.

Bates Harrison, OF, 2029, Metter
The ‘25 Junior Future Games looked the part of a must know name in the class on Saturday. Plenty of projection in the athletic and broad-chested 5-foot-9, 159-pound frame. Started the day off by running a 3.73 30-YD (1.64 10-YD). At the plate, Harrison stays well-balanced and works from a compact path with significant bat speed (Max 79.4) and present feel for the barrel. Compiled a Max EV of 94.9 with a Max Distance of 362ft. in the round. Chance to make an instant impact with Metter this Spring.

Hudson Pursell, OF/RHP, 2029, Wesleyan
The Wesleyan freshman is quickly making a name for himself in the class after another standout showing on Saturday. Loads of projection and athleticism in the wiry, high-waisted 6-foot-1, 169-pound frame. Pursell put together a strong round of BP with consistent line-drives as he works from a compact, steep path and manufactured a Max EV of 99.0. Also showed well in the outfield as he posted an OF Velo of 88 MPH. On the mound, Pursell operates from a higher ¾ slot and arm speed stands out with feel for the three-pitch mix. Fastball lived 84-86 (T87MPH) and slider tunneled well off it with tight break at 74-76. Changeup showed fade and depth at 74-76. Pursell is part of a loaded freshmen class at Wesleyan with a chance to hold onto a major two-way role all-season.

Aaron Higgins, OF, 2028, Kennesaw Mountain
The Kennesaw Mountain outfielder put together a strong campaign in ‘25 and carried it right on over into ‘26. Athletic, broad-shouldered 5-foot-9, 153-pounds and a well-connected RH swing. Utilizes a toe tap load to stay balanced with good separation through the zone and budding feel for the barrel (Max EV: 86.9) in a linear path. Higgins looks poised to step into an even larger role for his sophomore season after carrying an everyday role last year.


Ledger Jones, OF, 2028, Walton
Jones was a consistent performer this Fall with Aviators at the plate and looked the part once again this past weekend. High-waisted and lean 5-foot-10, 152-pound frame with a simple LH cut. Stays well-balanced through the zone with a quick, direct stroke and loose, fluid hands with accuracy in the barrel (Max EV: 88.3), and strong bat-to-ball skills. There is much more to project upon physically as well as throughout the profile and could be a name to watch this Spring with the Raiders.



Frank Knowles, OF/RHP, 2029, Greater Atlanta Christian
The 5-foot-11, 166-pound OF/2B Frank Knowles III from Greater Atlanta Christian showed an advanced, athletic look throughout the day. He possesses a powerful, efficient swing with very strong hands and a great ability to stay inside the baseball. His load and launch are fluid and connected, creating a smooth, pro-style swing. With his athletic body and present strength, great projectable upside is present for the young ball player. A natural mover with a clean, repeatable swing will be a middle-of-the-order asset to GAC this spring.

RJ Westbrook, OF/LHP, 2029, Mount Paran
The large 6-foot-3, 173 pound RF/LHP RJ Westbrook stands out immediately with a clear projectability and two-way potential. Shows a very strong, yet controlled swing with smooth hand load and stride working in sync into his barrel control. The path features a slight upward tilt, creating consistent lift and carry while staying through the baseball. Advanced strength in the hands and forearms allow for firm contact and bat control. Projecting an above average producer this spring season.

Caelen Frederick, OF, 2028, Milton
The impressive 6-foot-2, 185 pound OF/RHP Caelen Frederick (Milton) showed a high-end athletic look throughout the day with exciting metrics. Produced elite bat speed and exit velocities, consistently finding the barrel with a smooth, powerful left-handed swing. The operation is loose, quick and explosive through the zone, maintaining power to all fields. Highly athletic frame with fluid movements in all phases, Frederick’s offensive profile, defensive ability and present strength project as a true impact with potential two-way upside.

AJ Jackson, OF/SS, 2029, Southeast Bulloch
The 5-foot-11, 173-pound UTL from South Bullock, AJ Jackson showed impressive barrel feel with a polished swing. Stays on top of the baseball with the hands working in the zone for an extended period of time, allowing for consistent, hard contact. Displaying the ability to drive the ball with authority to the opposite field, Jackson’s strength and control are showed off. His toe tap and hand load are synced perfectly, creating a smooth, efficient swing. His athletic frame and strong build give AJ a high floor for offensive production.

Brooks DeRosa, OF/RHP, 2028, North Gwinnett
The 5-foot-11, 157-pound OF/RHP Brooks DeRosa from North Gwinnett had an impressive weekend performance at All-States. The athletic sophomore displayed power with high barrel rates showing the ability to attack the inside of a baseball. DeRosa averaged 90.2 exit velocity during his batting round topping out at 96. At just a sophomore his upside is high at the plate and can't wait to see how he does this upcoming season. Defensively, his athleticism and strong arm makes him a reliable outfielder. For the day he ran the 30-yard in 3.82 seconds while showing off his arm at 90 mph.

Markus Galins, OF, 2028, Kings Ridge
At 6-foot-1, 158 pound OF Markus Galins from Kings Ridge showed how much of a force he will be in the coming years with the display he put on. Driving the ball with force, he showed the ability to take the ball the other way with tremendous bat speed staying behind the ball using his strength to display high exit velocities. Galins offensive profile and defensive strength will be a great value to a Kings Ridge lineup.

Breck Hemphill, OF, 2028, Harrison
The impressive 6-foot-2, 219 pound outfielder Breck Hemphill from Harrison put on an exciting display of power showcasing some exciting metrics. The sophomore with a leg lift and quick full body swing uses that lower half strength to drive through the ball creating high exit velocities. His max exit velocity of the day was 106 with a distance of 391ft. With his high hard-contact rate, his ability to change a game is high. Defensively, his range and arm strength will likely keep coaches from aggressively sending runners home. Hemphill’s offensive value, strong arm, and current strength projecting to have an impactful spring season.

Junwoo Jang, OF/LHP, 2028, North Gwinnett
The strong 6-foot, 219 pound OF/LHP Junwoo Jang from North Gwinnett showed his strength throughout the day with high quality metrics. He possesses a smooth, efficient swing highlighting his ability to stay inside the ball showcasing his strength. With his big athletic build and continued growth, Jang has high upside. A strong, accurate arm out in the field adds to his value. Projecting Jang to have a solid spring season for North Gwinnett.

Graysen Radics, OF/RHP, 2029, Wesleyan
The 5-foot-9, 154 pound OF/RHP Graysen Radics from Wesleyan had an impressive day showcasing his offensive ability. With a simple toe tap leg lift, his short quick swing highlights his strong hands for a high contact hitter. His average exit velocity of the day was 91 and maxed out at 96. With potential for growth and physical maturity his potential is high. Possessing the range he has and a strong arm will allow him to be a strong corner outfielder. Radics who displayed his offensive strengths and athletic arm, he will be a force in Wesleyan's lineup this spring.
