Prep Baseball Report Iowa

PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state.  While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?
POTTHOFF: Upper Iowa, Minnesota State, Grandview, Northwestern (Iowa), DMACC, Kirkwood, Southeastern CC

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future?
POTTHOFF: Visited Upper Iowa, Grandview, DMACC, Kirkwood, Southeastern, and camped at Minnesota State

PBR: Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)
POTTHOFF: Play for a program that can make me the best player I can be.  Would like to start out as a 2 way player.  Playing multiple sports, I've never had a chance to focus just on baseball which is what I will do in college. Also wish to play at the highest level possible, whether that is immediately after high school or perhaps a junior college first.

PBR: What were some of your highlights during your junior year?
POTTHOFF: Team won state championship, 1st team all-state, pitched complete game shutout in state championship vs top seed

PBR: What are your goals for this year?
POTTHOFF: Win another state championship and repeat 1st team all-state.  I threw 87 mph in state championship game but would like to see that increase to 90 mph or better.  I also had 17 extra base hits last season and I'm hoping to bump up my power to hit more home runs.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?
POTTHOFF: 1st team all-state QB in football, lost in semis at UNI Dome to eventual state champion. 1st team all-conference in basketball, lost in semis at Wells Fargo to eventual state champion. Track as well.

PBR: What is your ACT and GPA?
POTTHOFF: 25 ACT, 3.8 GPA.
