The Hotlist: Risers In 2017 Rankings

The 2016 Overall Rankings were recently updated so the 2017 list is on deck. To tease the update, state directors submitted a junior prospect that will be making a climb up the charts.

Jack Anderson, RHP, Pulaski HS, WI
Anderson looks to be the biggest riser this winter in Wisconsin. Currently ranked No. 60 in the state, he is projectable at 6-foot-6, 213 pounds. Until recently, he only topped out at 83 mph, but at the Madison Preseason I.D. he blew that number out of the water and was sitting 85-87, touching 88. He also showed good secondary stuff with a 12/6 curveball at 70-75 and a changeup at 78-79. Anderson is likely to move into Wisconsin’s top 20.
