2019s On The Rise
October 24, 2018
The 2019 Overall Rankings will be updated soon. Here is a look at some prospects that should make a climb.
Dasan Brown, OF, Ontario Blue Jays, ON
Brown has made big strides over the last two months and turned himself into one of the top prospects in the entire country for the 2019 class. An exceptional athlete with plus speed and defends centre-field with ease and arm strength while tracking balls down in the gaps. The bat has really turned a corner with more contact and Brown starting to drive mistakes and record more extra base hits. He has opened the eyes of professional scouts and will be a high profile prospect as we lead into the new year and MLB draft come June.
Jaylyn Bullock, SS/RHP, Lincoln HS, MI
Bullock is a two-way prospect with raw ability and an athletic, 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame. He moves well in the field, ranging well to his glove side, and has soft hands. At the plate, he has fast hands and uses a gap-to-gap approach. On the mound, he has an easy arm action and a fastball that sits 82-85 mph, touching 87. He also features a sharp curveball and sinking changeup.
