LAWRENCE, KS—On our second day in Kansas, we found ourselves at Hoglund Ballpark, the home of the Kansas Jayhawks, to see Blue Valley HS, KS, take on Ozark HS, MO. Blue Valley won the game 5-2 behind its two top hitters—SS Gunner Halter and OF/LHP Will Brennan. Both are committed to Kansas State. Halter was 1-for-4, but his lone hit was the difference in the game. Up 2-1 in the top of the fifth, Halter smoked a double to center field that cleared the bases and made the scored 5-1. Brennan was 2-for-4 with a double and run scored.
