+ 2022 RHP/SS Gavin Guidry (Barbe HS)

Our Game of the Week featured district rivals Barbe HS facing off against Sam Houston HS, and Guidry ended up being the difference maker in this matchup.  The LSU signee started on the mound for the Bucs and although he didn't have his usual electric fastball, he was still really, really good.  Guidry worked 86-90 mph with his FB, but went to his 78-82 mph SL more so on this night.  He kept the Bronco hitters off-balance all night by landing the SL for strikes early and burying it with two strikes for swing and miss.  At the plate, Guidry finished the night 2-3 with his lone out being caught at the left field wall.
