As we head into the last couple of weeks of the calendar year, we want to highlight the most viewed profiles of 2025.  Today, we continue our countdown with the #4 spot, which belongs to junior Lawton Littleton of Barbe High School.

The former Future Gamer and LSU commit 10-2 record with a 0.76 ERA and 111 strikeouts across 74 innings pitched last spring for the Bucs.

Scouting Report

2/20/25

It's always good to see how young prospects respond to adversity and Littleton certainly showed that he was up for the challenge last Thursday in his start against Waxahatchie (TX).  The sophomore southpaw was coming off a sub-par start on opening week, even though he didn't pitch that poorly, and it was against a stout Lutheran South (TX) lineup with multiple Power-4 commits.  Littleton came out pitching with a purpose and intent last Thursday, and was absolutely dominant.  He induced double-digit whiffs with his 85-88 mph FB and one a frigid cold day, he was able to hold his velocity for the entirety of his outing.  Littleton also landed a 70-75 mph CB for strikes and swing & miss, and also flahsed a promising 75-76 mph CH.  He ended up striking out 11 over his 6 shutout IP and gave up only 3 H.

4/12/24

Lean and wiry 6'0" 160 lbs. frame with substantial projection still left. The freshman southpaw delivered another solid performance for the Bucs last Friday in their 2-1 win over Sulphur. Working exclusively from the stretch, Littleton uses a simple and athletic delivery to release the ball from a 3/4 slot. His FB pretty much stayed 80-84 mph from start to finish and he did a good job of moving his heater to all quadrants of the zone. Littleton ened up relying on his 68-71 mph CB (2541 RPM's) quite a bit against the Tors, as he was able to land it for strikes early and bury it with two strikes. He also showed feel to kill spin on a 74-75 mph CH (1385 RPM's) to RHH's. Littleton finished the outing earning a no-decision, after tossing 6 innings and giving up 3 H and 1 ER with 2 BB and 5 K's.

2/24/24

6'0" 160 lbs. lean frame with a ton of projection. The freshman southpaw and former Jr. Future Gamer proved in Week 1 why he's the state's top southpaw and #3 ranked overall player in the 2027 state rankings. In our look on Saturday, he faced off against a tough Opelousas Catholic lineup with a ton of talent, and Littleton wasn't fazed. He exuded a calm demeanor and pitched with a "low pulse" from his first pitch to his last. The Barbe product worked his 80-83 mph FB to both sides of the plate and elevated when he had to. He mixed in a bigger "1-7" shaped low-70's CB for strikes early and used a low-mid 70's SL with some sweep and a late-fading CH with two strikes. Littleton earned the win and punched out 10 guys, which moves his season record to 2-0 with a total of 20 K's after Week 1.
