North Carolina landed one of the best 2016 prospects in the country this week when RHP Austin Bergner (Windermere Prep, FL) verbally committed to the Tar Heels. Bergner, the No. 2 prospect in the Overall Rankings, has an athletic, projectable frame at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds. He can sit in the low 90s and has touched 95-96 mph while featuring a nasty curveball with depth. He also plays some shortstop where everything he does looks easy, but his future is clearly on the mound.
