Michigan Insider: Top Underclass Uncommitted Catching Prospects

With the Summer season coming to an end and the 2016-2017 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. Over the past month we looked at the top 2017 prospects and as you can see by our 2017 Player Rankings there are numerous talented prospects available.

Today we are starting with the top uncommitted underclass catching prospects in Michigan. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week and as you can see by our 2018 and 2019 Player Rankings, there are numerous talented prospects available.

Luke Stephenson, Algonac, 2018
Ranking: 10th in Michigan’s 2018 Class
Scouting Report: 6-foot-1, 190 pound solidly built catching prospect. May have been the defensive catcher at the event. Flashed quick feet and a lightning release. Popped a 1.91-1.95 to 2B. 75 mph catcher velocity. Used a wide base and crouched stance. Has a level two hand swing that went up the middle and opposite field. 85 mph exit velocity.
