Oregon landed a big recruit this week, getting a verbal commitment from OF Demi Orimoloye (St. Matthews Catholic HS, ON). Orimoloye is arguably the top draft prospect in Canada and enjoyed a breakout performance at the Area Code Games in August. He jumps out physically with his long, lean frame at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds. He remains raw at the plate, but has excellent upside and shows flashes of everything working together. He has a quick bat that generates good raw power and he runs well.
