Prep Baseball Missouri Staff

The Missouri high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 20, opening day for regular season action under MSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Missouri Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

2025 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Starters: 4

Top Returners:

  • C Graham Satterwhite (2025; Rockhurst) - 5'11", 185 lbs
    • Graham broke into the starting lineup as a freshmen and hasn’t looked back. He has been a very good defensive catcher for us over the last three years. He has steadily improved his offensive output over his career and will be a key part of our lineup this spring.
  • INF/OF Sebastian Norman (2025; Oklahoma St.) - 6'0", 228 lbs
    •  Sebastian broke into the starting lineup as a freshmen and immediately made an impact. Sebastian had always been a 3rd basemen but made a seamless transition to the outfield his freshmen and sophomore seasons. This year, he will play just about everywhere depending on what the defensive lineup looks like. Sebastian is a terrific athlete and will be counted on to make things happen offensively. He can hit for power, and has very good speed to go with it.
  • INF/P Easton Friesen (2025; Rockhurst) - 5'10", 165 lbs
    •  Easton is a good athlete and will be counted on to lead what will be a relatively inexperienced varsity pitching staff. He had several very good starts for us last year and pitched great in the first round of districts earning the W. When he is not on the mound, Easton will play on the infield and hit at the top of the order. He handles the bat well and has the speed to bunt for a hit, or steal a base.
  • INF/P Brady Yates (2027) - 6'1", 200 lbs
    •  Brady broke into the varsity lineup early his freshmen season. His play earned him the MHSBCA Newcomer of the Year award. Brady is a tremendous player that will be a big part of our lineup this spring. Brady will be counted on to play a left side infield position and will hit in the middle of the lineup. Brady is a very disciplined hitter that adjusts well from at bat to at bat, and pitch to pitch.
  • P/C/1B Blaize Thompson (2025; Central Methodist) - 6'3", 175 lbs
    •  Blaize earned some varsity innings last season and pitched well for us. His role will increase this season and he will compete for a job at first base.
  • OF/P Noah Goforth (2025) - 5'11", 165 lbs
    • Noah will compete for an outfield position this spring and time on the mound. Noah brings a strong arm and good speed to the outfield.

Top Newcomers:

  • P/INF Asher Lee (2026) - 5'10", 180 lbs
    • Asher will compete for innings on the mound this spring. He mixes pitches well and throws strikes.
  • P/1B Maddux Denning (2026) - 6'4", 170 lbs
    •  Maddux will compete for innings on the mound. He uses his tall frame well and really throws downhill.
  • P/INF Reed Jackson (2026) - 5'11", 200 lbs
    •  Reed swings the bat well and will compete for at bats this spring. He can play a corner infield spot and will be in the mix for those jobs.
  • OF Kameron Richardson (2026) - 6'1", 170 lbs
    • Kam will compete for a spot in the outfield this spring. A good athlete, Kam can really go get a ball as an outfielder.

Key Players Lost:

Coach’s Insight: “This year’s team is pretty upperclassman heavy. That being said, we don’t return a lot of varsity playing experience on the mound or at the plate. We return four guys with over 25 varsity AB’s and only one player with over 20 IP.

Our level of success with be largely determined by how quickly our varsity newcomers can adjust to varsity baseball, especially in the COC. We have some talented players, and these guys have been waiting patiently for their chance to leave their mark on Glendale Baseball. As a result, they have been determined in their off-season work and are eager to get the season going.

Overall, we will have pretty good team speed and will look to use that to our advantage. We will try to put pressure on teams from an offensive standpoint, play small ball at times, and look to run when we can. Our pitchers will look to fill up the strike zone and let the defense do their job behind them. We have tried to play as strong of a schedule as possible to get us ready for a tough COC schedule and what will be a tough district tournament. ” – Jim Julian, head coach
