Carvan is a 5-foot-10 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Carvan has a 78 mph exit velo and ran one of the best 60 time in the 2018 class at 6.97. Offensively, balanced set-up, short stride, quick hands, level bat path, showed good feel for the barrel, gap-to-gap approach. During defensive evaluations, over-the-top release, plays through ball, clean exchange, quick release, mostly accurate throws, 79 mph positional velo. Carvan has quick arm speed with an over-the-top release on the mound. His fastball was 75-77 mph with late run and curveball was 12-to-6 in shape at 67-69 mph. He throws his change-up at 68-70 mph with fastball arm speed.
