I just saw the video spotlight of RHP Jarrett Montgomery (Lawrence Central HS, IN). He's changed some things mechanically and still has that loose, live arm. What was your opinion of him at the Super 60 and how he may be drafted this summer?
A Florida State recruit, Montgomery has stood out for having one of the most electric arms in Indiana’s 2015 class for a few years. As stated above, his arm is loose and live. His fastball can sit in the low 90s and he gets good arm-side life. His curveball lacked bite at the Super 60, but his slider looked better with hard, sharp break. His delivery definitely looks different from the last time I saw him, which was in October at the World Wood Bat Championship.
