St. Louis Summer ID: Pitcher Analysis

On June 24th, the Prep Baseball Illinois staff traveled to St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri for the St. Louis Summer ID. This open event was host to 33 players, mostly from Missouri but also some players from Illinois and Nebraska - with a couple of these players earning an invitation to represent their state at last month’s Senior Future Games and Junior Future Games.

Today, we take a look at every single pitcher from the day, along with a top-5 ranking of who our staff thought showed the best in the workout, found below.

TOP PITCHERS

1. Haverly Cox, Homeschool (MO), 2026
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-1, 160-pounds.
Delivery: Controlled, methodical delivery, high leg lift with tuck, lands in-line, athletic mover.
Arm Action: RH. Athletic, loose 3/4 arm action.
FB: T94, 93-94 mph. ASR, life through the zone. T2411, 2314 average rpm.
CB: 78-80 mph. Sharp 11/5 break, out-pitch potential. T3251, 3149 average rpm.
CUT: 83-86 mph. Bullet action, tight.

2. Brady Dohrmann, St. John Vianney (MO), 2029
Positional Profile: RHP/OF
Body: 5-11, 155-pounds.
Delivery: High-tempo, compact and controlled, easy follow through, decent extension.
Arm Action: RH. True 3/4 slot, loose.
FB: T80, 77-79 mph. Some arm-side run, jumps out of the hands. T2149, 2077 average rpm.
CB: 63-64 mph. 10/4 action with some sweep. T2116, 2049 average rpm.
CH: 69-70 mph. Arm-side fade, developing depth. T1580, 1432 average rpm.
