Will Butler OF / RHP / Lewisburg, MS / 2027The 6-2, 190 pounder had a very good all around showcase on Wednesday in Oxford. Butler started the event with a solid 6.84 60 which ended up tied for the 3rd quickest of the day. Later during his batting practice round he used a primarily pull side approach with occasional loft to produce swings with up to 92 mph exit velocity. On the monument is where he made the biggest impression, showing lots of upside and a maturing arsenal. His fastball peaked at 88 mph which was the event best. There is still some development ahead with his secondary stuff but the foundation is strong. |

Jaxon Herod SS / 3B / West Union Attendance Center, MS / 2028The 6-0, 170 pound rising sophomore may have had the most eye popping day out of all participants from a metrics standpoint. With even more overall body maturity on the horizon, Herod ran a 6.79 60, delivered throws from the outfield up to 86 mph, infield up to 93 mph, and had exit velocities in the upper 80 during his bp round. He also worked his fastball up to 86 mph on the mound. West Union won the 1A State Championship this year and Herod will be a major player in their efforts to repeat in 2026. |

Colson Alexander 2B / SS / Lewisburg, MS / 2026The currently uncommitted infielder will be a big pick up for someone soon. Alexander just does things right on the baseball field. He’s consistent each time we see him with continuing metrics that continue to improve progressively. He’s sure handed on defense with an accurate arm and shows the ability to play multiple positions on the infield. At the plate he drives the baseball with a level swing and uses the whole field when needed. |

Crews Albritton OF / LHP / Tri-County Academy, MS / 2027We’ve seen Albritton multiple times over the past couple of years and he continues to make strides that will make this coming August pretty busy for himself. The 6-2, 200 pound lefty is one of the top power hitting prospects in his class and Wednesday he showed off once again with some deep balls and exit velocities approaching 100 mph. He also stepped on the mound and showed command for a 3 pitch mix including a fastball up to 87 mph which should make him a top Future Games possibility this summer. |

Rob Upchurch 1B / RHP / Oxford, MS / 2028Upchurch is another rising sophomore that is making his name known among recruiters and Wednesday he showed us why. The 6-5, 225 pounder uses a middle to pull side approach with some loft to send baseballs deep into the outfield. As his body strengthens you can bet many of those baseballs will find the other side of those walls. He also excels on the mound with his fastball that works into the upper 80’s currently. |

Grayson Rymer SS / 2B / Tri-county Academy, MS / 2028At 5-8, 150 pounds, Rymer’s metrics would make you think he’s much bigger. One of the top players in the 2028 class, he continues to impress all over the field. At the plate on Wednesday he rattled off line drives with impressive pop including exit velocities up to 95 mph. On defense, he displayed his next level ability on the infield with a strong accurate arm with velocity up to 88 mph. Oh, and if needed he throws lots of strikes and with feel of 3 pitches and a fastball up to 86 mph. |

Eli Housel OF / LHP / GRENADA HIGH, MS / 2027Coming off a solid season this spring Housel is making strides as one of the more polished looking left handed pitchers in the 2027 class. He shows feel for multiple pitches and with added maturity will get better with his command of all his pitches. His fastball was up to 87 mph on Wednesday with some solid arm stride run. He can kill the spin on the change and shows good shape on his breaking ball. He’s another 2027 that could be busier than usual come this fall. |

Eli Roye RHP / OF / Lewisburg High School, MS / 2029Lewisburg just continues to produce arms and Roye is a young one about to embark on his own personal recruitment journey. Though just 5-9.130 pounds at the moment he already has the look of a young player that will compute to develop into something special. The arm action is loose and whippy. The delivery is smooth and buttery. He repeats his delivery well and has feel for 3 pitches. We are just gonna have to stir and watch this play out. We look forward to following along. |
