Pitching ruled the day as the Wakefield Wolverines took the short trip to Rolesville to take on the Rolesville Ram. Senior Sam Bretherick took the bump and the win for Wakefield Tuesday afternoon. 

Bretherick worked a complete game allowing 5 hits and punching out 7 and only allowing 2 free passes. 2024 Lenior Community College commit Dalen Boykin, took the loss for Rolesville despite a masterful performance of his own also pitching a complete game allowing 2 runs on 2 hits, giving up 2 walks and fanning 10 Wolverines. 

Wakefield's lone RBI on the day, came from an  RBI double by 2024 ECU commit Holden Cooper. The Wolverines move to 8-1 and the Rams fall to 2-4.
