There have been several preseason events held in the last few weeks and many players stood out in advance of their high school seasons starting. Nathan Baez, SS, Ironwood Ridge HS, AZ
Baez has a developed upper body with impressive strength in his forearms and wrists on his 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. While he doesn’t possess elite athleticism or arm strength, he can be a factor offensively and his instincts allow him to play above his tools on defense. He takes an impressive BP with loud contact, a big leg kick and deep hand load. He does a good job with his feet to create momentum to his target. He runs a 7.13 60.
