ONSL Futures League Scout Blog: March 13th

PBR of North Carolina will be following the Old North State League's (ONSL) Spring League throughout the next several weeks. The spring league was needed due to the schedule change for teams in the NCHSAA. Most teams were built to represent 1 to 2 area high school teams, giving their players a chance to get on the field prior to their delayed season.

Asher Lucas, 2023, Cary Academy, LHP
Lucas pitches from a high ¾ slot commanding the zone using mainly a fastball/changeup combo to keep hitters off balance. The fastball ranges 75-77 with good arm side movement, Asher can command the FB to both sides of the plate. The change up is his best secondary offering and will throw it in any count, has the ability to get swing and misses or weak contact.
