PBR hosted seven teams in a 16U / 2020 event in early June to help kickoff the summer season.  Every game took place at Craven Stadium, in Ramseur, NC with a Prep Baseball Report scout in attendance.  In an effort to continue to cover and report on high school baseball players across the state, PBR was able to write-up each game and push content to several social media platforms.

Below are a group of players that stood out during the weekend for different reasons.  Several pitchers and position players have made jumps from where they were last summer and the numbers definitely reflect their growth.

2020s at the PBR Summer Kickoff

Luke Barrow, RHP, Wesleyan Christian Academy, 2020
Athletic, high waisted frame at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds.  High leg kick and good balance with a strong, stable back side.  Long arm action and quick hand work to a high-¾ release. Fastball ranged 82-86, sitting 84-86 early.  Fastball works easy. Slider at 77-79 is tight with hard, late depth. Around the zone, occasionally losing his rhythm for stretches.
