Uncommitted Spotlight: Samuel Bevin

 

Athleticism plays and Bevin is one of the more athletic players still on the board in the 2023 class.  New to North Carolina, he is playing with the Wake County Home School Warriors this spring.  At the PBR Preseason All-State Central in February, Bevin worked out as a Pitcher and Infielder.  He profiles more as a middle infielder, but could add depth to some bullpens.  Having run a 6.75 sixty for PBR in the past, Bevin ran a 3.90 in February in the 30 with a top run speed of 19.3mph.  He also posted the top vertical jump of the winter at 35.8in.  A right handed hitter, he found the barrel with some ease, posting a max exit velocity of 92.7mph with an average of 87.4 across 15 swings.  On the bump, the fastball ranged up to 88.1mph while also spinning his breaking ball at 2306rpm.
