Metrolina Christian Dominates Gaston Christian in Power 25 Matchup

In a highly anticipated Power 25 showdown, #3 Metrolina Christian showcased its dominance with an 11-1 victory over #21 Gaston Christian on Tuesday. Chase Kiker led the charge for the Warriors, delivering a stellar performance both on the mound and at the plate.

Early Offensive Surge

Metrolina wasted no time setting the tone as Jacob Seamon blasted a leadoff home run in the bottom of the 1st to put the Warriors on the board. The offense exploded in the third inning, scoring six runs on four hits, highlighted by back-to-back doubles from Kiker and Mylo White to break the game open.

Kiker’s Commanding Presence on the Mound

With a comfortable lead, Kiker was in complete command. The Clemson commit struck out seven batters through three innings, overpowering Gaston Christian’s lineup. In the fourth, despite errors allowing Noah Cooper and Meridian Leffew to reach base, Kiker stayed composed, inducing a groundout before striking out two more to escape the jam.

Final Line: 5 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 10 K

Gaston Christian’s Lone Bright Spot

Facing an 11-0 deficit in the fifth inning, Carsten Green delivered a solo home run to put Gaston Christian on the board. However, the Warriors responded in the bottom half, using a hit-by-pitch and a walk to set up the game-ending run via the mercy rule.
