Lincoln Charter Rallies to Defeat North Lincoln 8-4 on Opening Night
Lincoln Charter High School – February 24, 2025
Lincoln Charter overcame early deficits of 3-0 and 4-1 to secure an 8-4 victory over North Lincoln on opening night. On a chilly evening, both teams displayed early-season jitters, combining for five errors and eight walks. North Lincoln took an early 3-0 lead, highlighted by a two-run double from Beckett Rinkus (2027).
Game Recap
Trailing 4-1 in the third inning, Lincoln Charter began their comeback with two runs, sparked by an Evan Myers (2025, LHP/OF, WCU commit) double to center field. Myers continued his offensive showcase in the fifth, launching a two-run home run to right field, driving in leadoff hitter Nate Rollins (2025, INF, Bluefield State commit). The Eagles extended their lead with two-out RBI singles from Tyler Waterman (2027, INF) and Justin Horne (2025, C).
Canton Bare (2026, RHP) took control on the mound, working the final four innings to earn the win. Although he struggled with command early, Bare settled in to keep North Lincoln off balance, scattering five hits and striking out three without allowing a run.
