Below we have take a look at the standouts from the class of 2028.

Braxtyn Blank-Jimenez RHP / OF / Skutt Catholic, NE / 2028

A highly projectable athlete, Blank-Jimenez posted an event-best 86 MPH fastball for the 2028 class while also reaching 91 MPH from the outfield and running a 7.05 60-yard dash. With a long, quick-twitch frame, adding mass will be key to his development. Though he may not crack Skutt Catholic’s loaded varsity roster in 2025, the former Jr. Future Games Team Midwest member has positioned himself at or near the top of the 2028 class in Nebraska.

Levi Anthony OF / 3B / CREIGHTON PREPARATORY SCHOOL, NE / 2028

At 6'0", 175 lbs, Anthony has an advanced physical and athletic build for his age. His offensive gains from last year were significant, with his max and average exit velocities jumping from 84.9/76.3 to 96.4/90.6 MPH. He also lowered his 60-yard dash from 7.21 to 6.93, making him an intriguing speed-power prospect.

Connor Wurdeman 3B / RHP / ELKHORN NORTH HIGH SCHOOL, NE / 2028

Now 6'0", 158 lbs, Wurdeman significantly improved his speed, cutting nearly half a second off his 60-yard dash time since the August Freshman Free event (now 6.96). His infield velocity also increased from 83 to 88 MPH. While his mound velocity isn’t high-end yet, he has gained 4 MPH, and his athleticism suggests more is on the way.

Easton Lunn OF / SS / WESTSIDE HIGH SCHOOL, NE / 2028

Lunn is a quick-twitch athlete in a compact frame, showcasing the arm strength and speed to play multiple positions. At the plate, he maximizes his abilities with a 100% sweet spot percentage, a 89.7 MPH max exit velocity, and an 83.3 MPH average exit velocity. As he matures, his offensive output should continue to rise. A former Jr. Future Games Team Midwest member, Lunn is one to watch.

Bradyn Erickson C / OF / LINCOLN EAST HIGH SCHOOL, NE / 2028

Erickson had one of the most consistent rounds of any 2027 hitter, routinely driving the ball to the middle of the field with a max exit velocity of 94.4 MPH and an average of 90.4 MPH, with a 70% sweet spot percentage. While East’s lineup is loaded for 2025, Erickson is a name to keep an eye on for the Spartans.

Blake Fort SS / 2B / Lewis Central Senior High School, IA / 2028

This was our first look at Fort, and he impressed with his present physicality at 6'0", 175 lbs. He delivered a loud, consistent round at the plate, maxing out at 97.3 MPH exit velocity with an 89.3 MPH average. He also showed two-way ability, running his fastball up to 84 MPH with a three-pitch mix. Fort will be an intriguing follow in western Iowa as the season gets underway.
