DEPTFORD, NJ—Another day, another rainout. Fortunately, it wasn’t a complete wash. I found myself in the Philadelphia area Saturday morning, hoping to see two outfielders in Mike Siani (William Penn Charter School, PA) and Nick Decker (Seneca HS, NJ), but an overnight storm canceled Siani’s game. I crossed the river into New Jersey to see Decker in the Diamond Classic.

A Maryland recruit, Decker stands at 6 feet, 210 pounds and is packed with strength throughout, especially in his hands and forearms. At the plate, he has a tall stance with his weight shifted back and he takes a small leg kick and replaces his front foot. He’s fast and short to the ball with strength at contact.
