The 2025 Nevada High School baseball season is quickly approaching and, as usual, excitement is abound throughout the state. Players and coaches have been working in preparation for the upcoming season and, as is the case each year, there are some very talented players and teams throughout the Silver State.

Teams across the state have goals and aspirations to finish their seasons by raising the 2025 NIAA State Championship trophy, but there is plenty of work to be done before that becomes reality. We hope to familiarize our readers with many of the teams across the state as we preview individual teams throughout Nevada and will take you right up to first pitch this season with these team previews, eventually releasing our Preseason Top 10 Rankings that’ll carry us into the opening week of action.

TEAM OUTLOOK

This Rancho group is looking to make some noise in this Spring behind an senior core, lead by Antelope Valley recruit - Mayson Au Young-Uwaine, Hawaii Chaminade recruit - Brady Paulson, and Uncommitted infielder, Dylan Layman. This group helped lead the Rams to an 8-2 Class 4A league record and the #2 seed going into the playoffs. With this senior group expected to be the anchor first this team, we expect the difference makers in this group to be an exciting junior class that features Uncommitted Las Vegas Preseason ID standout, Jonathan Ramos, and Uncommitted backstop, Ronaldo Alvarez. 

Rancho has consistently produced gritty teams that force groups to play all seven innings, making pitchers work and throwing strikes on the mound. This group will be no different as they return six arms and seven position players that have the experience needed to make a deep playoff run this Spring in a very talented Class 4A league.
