Brett Harrison
West Coast Supervisor

Las Vegas, NV - On Wednesday and Thursday, May 28-29, 2025, the Prep Baseball Nevada staff hosted our first event of the summer, which featured over 85 prospects from the 2026-2028 classes.  Each participant went through a pro-style workout that consisted of running a laser-timed 60 yard dash using Vald Performance, defensive evaluations, and batting practice using Trackman Baseball and Blast Motion.  Day 2 of the event, pitchers were evaluated during the Live Game Play with Trackman Baseball to receive all of their data and metrics.

Below, we highlight some of the 2027 players that made an immediate impression on the Prep Baseball Nevada Staff with the Quick Hits.

Quick Hits: 2027 Class

Isaiah Alba SS / 2B / Green Valley High School, NV / 2027

The sophomore came into the Las Vegas top Prospect games has one that we were excited to see the progress made from the recent high school season and his game did not disappoint. Already known as one of the top defenders in the 2027 class, his obvious added physical strength has now come to play at the plate showed off the power potential during the batting practice portion of the event. This is a big summer for Alba as he could be one of the biggest helium prospects, heading into the fall.

Alex Scaggs 3B / 1B / Arbor View, NV / 2027

Scaggs had his breakout sophomore year at Arbor View and it was no surprise that he put on one of the top offensive performances at the Las Vegas Top Prospect Games, leaving the yard multiple times well also find a barrels near the live gameplay portion. His 101.4 miles per TrackMan exit velocity ranked him near the top of the entire event while his 94.3 mph average exit of velocity was the best of the event. There’s no doubt the hit tool is real and we look forward to seeing it continue to progress this summer.

Ethan Gordon OF / C / Faith Lutheran High School, NV / 2027

Gordon seems to quietly go about his business on the baseball field, but when you sit back and check his work, you realize he’s putting up huge numbers on both sides of the ball, including - 98.1 mph TrackMan EV, 6.71 VALD 60 Time and a 91 mph Outfield Velocity. There’s nothing quiet about his game and the tools on to continue to trend as he has added size and strength to his 5 foot 10 frame. Keep an eye on Gordon as we expect him to find his way on a multiple prospect boards this summer.

Eli Leone 3B / SS / Faith Lutheran, NV / 2027

There have been very few players over the last year that have seen their game takeoff like Leone. Ascending into the lead off role for one of the deepest lineups in the state this past spring there’s a lot to like about the Faith Lutheran product. He has the present speed to hold down middle field position with a VALD 60 Time of 6.92. He has a mature feel at the plate with excellent barrel awareness and the ability to spray the ball to all fields. This is another player that we expect to have a huge summer and see his stock trend, heading into next spring.

Dillon Lee 2B / SS / Basic Academy of Int'l Studies HS, NV / 2027

The middle Lee brother comes fresh off of his state championship run with Basic Academy improved why he is one of the top players in Nevada’s 2027 class, with present tools on both side sides of the ball that project the translate well at the next level. His easy, compact swing are already flashing present power with his 98.4 mph TrackMan exit velocity to go with his 91.3 mph TrackMan average exit velocity. The clean defensive actions with feel for the lateral play to go with him mid 80s arm across the end field help project Lee as a middle and filler at the next level.

Brayden Lenahan RHP / OF / Spring Valley, NV / 2027

The Spring Valley two-way put together one of the top overall performances at the Las Vegas top Prospect games where showed off his ability at the plate with flashes of pull side power to go with his event best 93 mph outfield velocity. On the mound, he worked with a calm, controlled tempo with his fastball, running up to 87.8 mph with a projectable breaking ball to go with it. This is another player that seems to be just now starting to scratch the surface of what’s to come over the next few years.

Christian Conley C / RHP / Foothill, NV / 2027

Toolsy backstop out of Foothill put together another successful event with a share of the top catcher velocity as well as another sub 2.00 pop time. Is 101.3 mph TrackMan exit velocity also registered him near the top of the leaderboard as he showed his presentability to get it done on both sides of the ball. Presently standing at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds, they’re still seems to be much more to come with Conley and his overall game continuing to improve each time out.

Liam Radke RHP / OF / Faith Lutheran, NV / 2027

Radke is another arm that we had circled heading into this event as a player who we have high expectations for after his stand-up performance last year at the 2024 Future Games. The present makeup and pitchability put this 2027 and exclusive company as he is shown his ability to consistently command his mix with his fastball velocity continuing to climb, now up to 89.3 mph via TrackMan to go with his slider that spun up to 2700+ rpm. This is another player, heading into the summer that we expect to make some serious noise.
