Draft League Spotlight: Shane Marshall
April 13, 2021
Player: Shane Marshall
Position: CF
School: Binghamton
Marshall put together a strong sophomore campaign in 2019 that carried over into the NECBL, where he showcased a promising blend of strength and speed. He was ticketed for the Cape Cod League in 2020 before the pandemic wiped out the season. A 6-foot, 200-pound outfielder, Marshall can get down the line in the high 3.9 to low 4.0 seconds range and is a rangy defender in center, with average arm strength that plays up due to accuracy. Offensively, Marshall employs a mature approach and has solid bat-to-ball skills from the right side of the plate, with raw power that plays to the big parts of the field.
