Newcomers To The 2015 Overall Rankings

By Nathan Rode
National Supervisor

The 2015 Overall Rankings were updated this week with major changes. Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area has grown tremendously in the last year and many of the new states have been folded into the rankings. Most of the players below have been written about extensively in the last few months, but in case you’re not familiar with them here are 15 newcomers to the Overall Rankings. They are listed in order of their rank, which is denoted in parenthesis.

Demi Orimoloye, OF, St. Matthew SS, ON (4)
Orimoloye broke out at the Area Code Games in August, going 7-for-14 with a home run. He made hard contact throughout the event and struck out just once. He is raw at the plate and doesn’t always show a good swing path as it can get long, but he has physicality (6-foot-4, 225 pounds), speed (4.2-second home-to-first) and bat speed. Orimoloye committed to Oregon in early October and is a high follow for scouts.
