Mike Newsom SS / 2B / Elder, OH / 2019 Rankings  StateRank: 188 / POS: 27 Report: A well-rounded player that put together a solid performance on both sides of the ball. Up the middle he does a nice job with his feet to create angles and maintain rhythm throughout fielding sequence. Skill set leans towards second base but could also windup at shortstop at the right level. At the plate he really sees the ball well. Knows the strike zone and works counts. When he does pull the trigger he shows a nice, compact swing with above average batspeed through the zone.
