Balko is very projectable and recently made another jump, sitting 86-89 mph while touching 90 from a relatively low-effort delivery. In a recent appearance, he held that velocity for six shutout innings and dominated a solid lineup. His breaking ball had more curveball shape with tight rotation and depth at 75-76. He is committed to Nevada-Las Vegas.
