Scouting Report

6/13/21

Physical: Projectable, starter’s build at 6-foot-2, 190lbs, athleticism translating down the slope.

Pitching: RHP - Just knows how to pitch at a high level, natural feel on the bump starting off the far left side of the rubber with quick pace throughout the delivery. High side rocker and good stacked position before driving out directionally towards the plate, finishing into a stiff/adjustable front side. Released from a high ¾, OTT slot getting occasional hard run in on RHH. Tunneled two tough pitches in all counts (FB: 82-84, strikes and CB: 67-68, hard depth). HIs best pitch may have been a nasty 76-78 mph CH that repeatedly dodged barrels with wipeout fade. Threw it with confidence and quite possibly his highest intent on all offerings. Strike-thrower capable of eating innings at the next level.

6/15/20

Physical: 6-foot-0, 180 pounds; athletic, projectable frame.
Pitching: Sets up on the first base side of the rubber, small side step into an easy, repeatable delivery. Moderate take back with a high 3/4 arm slot. FB: T 83 MPH, 81-82 MPH. Throws a very heavy ball, sinking action down and in on righties, hard to barrel up, lived in the bottom half. CB: 67-70 MPH. 10-4 shape on the breaker had hitters off-balance.  CH: 73-76 MPH. Plays well off of his fastball down in the zone, similar heavy, downward action.

1/25/20

6-foot, 175-pound left-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to begin. Showed some raw athleticism from a high-hands load with some gap pop when on time to the hitting zone. Registered a bat exit velocity of 81 mph and ran an 8.33 60-yard dash. Showcased capable defensive actions while playing through the baseball routinely. 77 mph arm strength across the diamond is generated with some head whack on release.
