Progress Report: 2025 RHP/3B Christian Lucarelli (Riverside)

Last Look Notes: 6/22/21 Jr. PA State Games, Showcased an imposing frame with ability to compete in the zone for strikes. Repeatable delivery and some play up in the zone with a 79-81 mph FB and was able to leverage a developing 64-66 mph CB with low-spin. Displayed occasional pull-side lift with good connection in the lower half, accruing a T82 mph bat-exit velocity and 294 foot distance (243 foot average). A 69 mph arm-strength across the diamond had much more in the tank. 

Improvements: 2/05/22 Beaver Valley Scout Day, Much more athletic and sure of his body, Lucarelli recorded a multitude of personal bests starting with a loud BP round working up to a T88 mph bat-exit velocity. The physical right-handed hitter was consistently on the barrel and turned around a smooth defensive round with an 86 mph arm-strength from his position. The primary power-arm brought out a new-wave of confidence in the arsenal, spinning the FB up to 2346rpms at 85-86 mph and getting over the CB better for more consistent, downward 11/5 shape. Was able to generate +3 inches of IVB (AVG) over the past year, which will be a strikeout pitch up above the letters.
