Spring Update: Pennsylvania Class of 2019 Rankings

With the start of their junior season on the horizon the PA Class of 2019 rankings welcome the addition of 30 new players in this update. The current list now stands at 170 players with 60 players having already announced a college commitment. An update to the current PBR Class of 2019 overall rankings will follow in the near future.
The top of the list is filled with prospects that have already announced college commitments including 42 of the first 55. Catcher Eric Grintz (Downingtown West), a North Carolina commit ranked No. 35 in the PBR overall rankings, continues to hold down the top spot.
The top of this class is very strong with the first 21 players already committed to Division 1 programs. Virginia leads the way with three commitments among the top six prospects in this update. Maryland follows closely behind with a pair of commits in the top ten.

- RHP/1B Ryan Kutz (Lower Dauphin) moves up 12 spots to No. 72 in this update on the strength of his bullpen session at the Preseason All-State Showcase. The 6-foot-2, 205-pound righty sat 86-88 in late January and continued to show solid offensive skills that make him a legitimate two-way prospect.
- 6-foot, 190-pound left-hitting infielder Tom Snipes (William Penn Charter) enters the rankings at No. 102 on the heels of his strong performance at the Preseason All-State Showcase. The left-handed hitter showcased a well-rounded skill set running a 7.03 while registering a 90 mph bat exit velocity.
- Outfielder Albert Choi (Downingtown East) enters the rankings for the first time at No. 116 after his performance a the Preseason All-State Showcase. The 5-foot-11, 165-pound right-handed hitter flashed plenty of fast-twitch actions and turned in the event's top 60-yard dash at 6.48.
