Uncommitted Prospect Spotlight: 2021 Catcher Justin Butler

Today we continue with a look at 2021 catcher Justin Butler. The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder showcased advanced catch and throw abilities while registering a top pop time of 1.97 during the evaluation phase of the event. An athletic right-handed hitter with present gap power, Butler flashed a bat exit velocity of 91 mph and is a 7.10 runner.

Showed quick hands and strong actions at the plate with above-average feel for his swing, registering an 88 mph bat-exit-velocity. Demonstrated soft hands while receiving with advanced blocking skills. Showcased good footwork evidenced by 1.97-2.03 pop times and his 77 mph arm-strength from the crouch. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash.
