Top Performer Spotlight: 2021 MIF Marcus Smith (All Hallows)

Over 600 players attended our Preseason All-State events spanning from Feb. 15 - Feb. 24. 100's of players caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the course of the next few months I will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out at the Preseason Events. Let's get started.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Smith is no stranger to our PBR NY system and is one of the top 2021 prospects in the entire state, maybe the whole northeast. Over the past few years Smith has always looked the part during events and carried himself with poise and confidence, but all of the skills he showed just weren't polished yet. Fast forward to today and those skills (especially the bat) are premium tools. He glides when he moves with little effort, shows off high-end athleticism evidenced by his 6.65 60-yard dash, his glove work continues to improve, the arm is above average, and finally the bat... the bat plays at the next-level right now. Extremely excited to see him the June at the NYS Games where his attendance should peak the interest of college recruits all over the Northeast.
