Lean, athletic build at 6-foot, 170 pounds. Plus runner with 6.53 sixty. Possesses both speed and quickness. With his athleticism and fast twitch muscles he fills the leadoff role well and is a force on the bases. Offensively, Heckert shows good presence in the box. Setup is very relaxed and athletic. Displays good separation throughout his swing, resulting in hard line drives and above average exit velocity (103.1 mph max on 2020 Fall Scout Day). Will be a run producer and spark plug for a team at the next level. Defensively, shows elite footwork and quickness. Fills a middle infield position well with his smooth hands and ability to cover plenty of ground. Arm strength is present average with good carry.
