TN Game Report: Tuesday

On Tuesday, we saw 2 different games at 2 different sites. We began the day at Lipscomb Academy for their tilt against Ensworth (we stayed for an out into the bottom of the 5th) then traveled an hour across Nashville to White House for their game against Greenbrier. This was a solid day weather wise, featuring weather in the 50’s to 60’s and a light wind. Read below on standouts and check out the Twitter feed for video highlights!

FB (83-86), CB (65-70) - 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 15 K Southern commit overwhelmed w/ his FB. Medium, athletic frame w/ present lower half strength, some physical projection. Pitched from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from first base side of the rubber. Quiet, repeatable delivery w/ easy effort. FB explodes out of hand, shows rides through the zone. Medium downer CB flashed proper shape, rotation. Flashed feel for break manipulation for early in count vs. put away pitch. Pounded the zone w/ FB’s. Only needed to throw 4 CB’s while I was in attendance. Generated 21 swing and misses on 33 swings, including 20 of 32 on his FB. |
