On Friday, we were present for the first day of games as part of the TCCAA Fall Showcase, hosted by Lipscomb University. Friday brought together Cleveland State, Jackson State, Motlow State and Volunteer State. Below is a look at Jackson State and the players that jumped out to us during their two games.

NATHAN BOYLE / RHP / 2B / VALLEY VIEW, OH / 2017FB (87-90), SL (82) 6-2, 205-pound righty struck out 1 in his lone inning of work. Medium, athletic frame w/ long limbs, well-proportioned lean strength, some physical projection. Pitches from the stretch only into low ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Max effort throw w/ a cocking action in back. Super quick arm w/ occasional glove tap before throw. Big leg kick into his delivery. FB shows short cut. Threw one SL intended as a back-foot 0-2 pitch to a LHH and hit him in the foot on the bounce. Around the zone w/ the FB. Generated 2 swing and misses on 7 swings. |
