CARY, NC—Tuesday was supposed to feature a doubleheader between the two 18U National Team trials squads and the Collegiate National Team, but Mother Nature had other ideas. The area got heavy rain for most of the afternoon so the doubleheader turned into one game, which was mostly played in a light rain or mist. The Collegiate National Team just arrived to Cary yesterday, so they used three of their arms before utilizing 18U players to get through nine innings. The 18U team pulled off the upset, 3-2, behind a two-run single in the top of the ninth by RHP/IF Masyn Winn (Kingwood HS, TX) For more on the college prospects, follow David Seifert on Twitter and stay tuned for notebooks from him this week.
