TEAM OUTLOOK
The Bullard Panthers enter the 2026 season carrying significant momentum following a historic 2025 campaign. Under Head Coach Chad Sherman, who achieved a 27-9 record in his first season at the helm, the Panthers finished last year as Regional Semifinalists and tied the school record for the deepest playoff run in program history. As they compete in UIL Classification 4A-17, the team aims to build on a 27-9 record and ultimately reach the UIL State Tournament in Austin.
The roster is anchored by a wealth of veteran talent, particularly on the mound and in the field. The Panthers return seven position players and a robust pitching staff featuring four starting pitchers and two relievers. Key returning seniors include All-State selections Ty Rigsby (3B) and Ethan Foster (LHP), both committed to UT-Tyler, alongside District 17-4A MVP Kage Korenek. This experienced core, which also includes First Team All-District pitcher Jackson Holt and infielder Tannon Wynne, provides the team with established strengths in pitching and defense.
While the Panthers lost team captain and Defensive Player of the Year Dylan Fowler to graduation, the roster is bolstered by promising young talent. Sophomore standouts like Catcher Gage Alderman and All-Rose Country Newcomer of the Year Tate Wynne return to provide high-level production. Additionally, the program looks to integrate several impactful newcomers from the 2028 class, including Gavin Skaggs, Tucker Stainback, and Kord Korenek. With a deep mix of decorated veterans and rising underclassmen, Bullard is positioned as a formidable contender for the 2026 season.
