North Dallas Preseason ID: Position Player Analysis

On Saturday, January 3rd, the PB Texas staff traveled to Denton Ryan High School in Denton, TX, to host the North Dallas Preseason ID, an open event for all high school classes.
More than 20 players made their way to Denton Ryan HS this past weekend and participated in a pro-style workout, gathering unrivaled access to data through our state-of-the-art tech partners, as well as in-depth scouting analysis from our Prep Baseball Texas staff.

Today, we take a look at the scouting reports on every position player in attendance from the event.

Positional Profile: OF/RHP RHH/OF Projects well physically. Speed will increase, projects to be 6.9 or better runner. Moves well to baseball, ability to play all 3 OF spots. Project bat/power combo to develop. Watch progress. RHP Repeats delivery. Cutoff circle with fair arm speed. Needs time on the mound to develop.
Body: 6-3, 182 pounds. Projects well physically. Lean, lanky. Avg width to shoulders and back.
Hit: RHH. Rotational back foot, drive back foot forward with rotation increasing use of lower 1//2 in swing. Hits into firm front leg, solid posture at contact. Stride foot stays in ground, nice job hitting from ground up. Develop core with core exercises to increase rotational acceleration. Barrel/hands start in good position. Mason Brower, Keller (TX), 2028

Watch develop, will add needed strength, tools present. RHP athletic on mound. Repeats delivery. Low slot. Shows ability to spin baseball. FB effective life, can elevate for success. Developing secondary. Stuff will play with added velo.
Body: 5-10, 150 pounds. Wide shoulders, good back. Projects well physically.
Hit: LHH. Toe tap stride. Rotational back foot, gets stuck and slides away from plate hindering use of lower 1/2. Drive back foot forward slightly with rotation, engaging lower 1/2 in swing. Increasing lower 1/2 results in more impact. Hits into firm front leg, posture is laid back at contact, would like see more upright at contact.
