June 17, 2025
The Washington high school baseball season has officially concluded, with state champions crowned in Yakima, Bellingham and Selah. Judging off the 2025 high school season, Prep Baseball Washington officially unveil our Washington All-State teams.
This year's teams are split into a 4A/3A First and Second Team, as well as another All-State Team for 2A/1A/2B/1B players. Several players featured are ranked highly in their respective player rankings lists in Washington. A vast majority of this year's All-State players have also attended a Prep Baseball event, showcasing their skills at Prep Baseball showcases and tournaments.
Below, we highlight some of the players and key takeaways from each All-State Team.
Pike, Neyens, Madonna Headline 4A/3A First Team
In addition to winning Prep Baseball Washington's Player of the Year for the second consecutive season, '25 RHP/INF Mason Pike was an easy addition to 4A/3A First Team All-State. The Oregon State commit spun 66.2 IP on the mound with a 0.84 ERA while also slashing .482/.583/.699 at the plate. Pike's incredible season was also highlighted by 112 strikouts on the mound with a .133 opponent's batting average.
The top-ranked 2025 graduate in Washington and a Prep Baseball All-American, INF Xavier Neyens headlines the infield group for 4A/3A First Team. A player that received heavy consideration for our player of the year, Neyens hit .456 in his senior campaign with 8 home runs and 27 RBI. Another Oregon State commit, Neyens also had an incredible K/BB ratio, striking out just 11 times while walking in 46 PA's. The senior helped lead Mount Vernon to a 3A state championship in Yakima.
'25 C Truitt Madonna was another senior with a massive spring, finishing second in the state with 7 home runs. Madonna hit .411 with 25 runs scored and 22 walks, powering 3A Ballard to a state semifinals appearance.
Several other players earned First Team recognition after winning their respective league MVP's. Senior INF Aspen Alexander, junior INF Caden Andreas, senior INF Kamden Lanphere, senior OF Eric Havili, senior OF Owen Dirks, senior OF Tommy Lamb, and senior P/OF Brayten Ayers all earned league MVP awards and secured a spot on our All-State First Team.
Upperclassmen Dominate 4A/3A Second Team List
The Second-Team All-State features a variety of teams and players, headlined by several more league MVP and 1st team All-League performers. Senior two-way talent and Oregon commit Hudson Carvalho headlines the group after multiple outstanding looks this spring. Carvalho threw 54.2 IP with a 1.41 ERA and hit .378 at the plate in a tough KingCo league. Another standout senior was OF Daniel Porras, who hit .382 with 15 XBH for a Gig Harbor side that reached the state semi's.
A pair of Puyallup Viking seniors also made their way onto Second Team in INF Gage Thompson and OF Riley Sanoy. Thompson was 1st team SPSL with 5 HR, 29 R, and 29 RBI. Sanoy was an offensive force all spring for 29-1 Puyallup, finishing the spring hitting .407 with 39 R and 26 RBI in route to winning SPSL Offensive Player of the Year.
Many other players stood out as a part of the second team. Seniors Jacob Muench, Andrew Fetty and Xavier Espindola all won POTY/MVPs for their respective league, while junior Washington commit James Gill III won GSHL MVP for his second consecutive season.
Standout Statlines For 2A/1A/2B/1B Players
As is sometimes the case in smaller classifications, players will put up incredible statlines over a spring season, and this was certainly the case for some of the prospects on our First Team for 2A/1A/2B/1B teams. Junior LHP/OF Cody Ells fit the bill for Asotin High School, hitting .543 at the plate, and not allowing a single earned run with 114 K in 56.1 IP. Senior Justin Fuller was another exceptional two-way performer, hitting .476 with 13 XBH and pitching to a 0.70 ERA in 40 IP on the mound.
On the 1A side, senior INF Ryker Ruelas led the way hitting .551, while OF Cash Erdman hit .537 overall. Several 2A players left their mark this season, including seniors Carter Christiansen, Liam Ostrom, and Finn Leach, who all finished with over a .430 batting average.
The pitchers in our First Team side all had incredible seasons, with eight arms pitching to a sub-1 ERA. Seattle University commit and senior LHP Harrison Hoffarth posted a 0.67 ERA with 83 K in 52.1 IP for 2A Columbia River. RHP Jake Andrew was another arm at the top of the class for Anacortes, throwing an incredible 81 IP with a 0.60 ERA.
